Dhaka University Centre of Excellence in Teaching & Learning (CoETL, DU) organized a workshop amongst the teachers on “Outcome Based Education (OBE) Curriculum” at Muzaffar Ahmed Chowdhury Auditorium, University of Dhaka on the 15th June, 2022.
Professor Dr. Sabita Rezwana Rahman (Director) presided over the Workshop and delivered the welcome speech. Professor Dr. A.T.M. Shamsuzzoha (Additional Director) anchored the noted workshop.
In the session Professor Dr. Syed Shahrier Rahman (Department of Linguistics, University of Dhaka) spoke on “Outcome Based Education (OBE) Curriculum”. He discussed the major Components of OBE and the procedure for developing the OBE curriculum.
The facilitator also mentioned about Assessment- level of question, Evaluation- differentiate aptitude level, Achievement- what is there ultimate mastery. The total process is outcome based- the target is to reach to a level where the university education can serve the need of the society and job sector. The curriculum focuses on knowledge skill attitude to be attained by students.
It may be mentioned that the DU, CoETL successfully organizes series of workshops throughout the year on a regular basis for the faculty (teachers) and officers of the University of Dhaka for achieving Quality Higher Education.
