ISRT Invites Applications for MS in Applied Statistics and Data Science for 2024–2025 Session
The Institute of Statistical Research and Training (ISRT), University of Dhaka, is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the Master of Science in Applied Statistics and Data Science (Regular Full-Time) program for the 2024–2025 academic session for limited seats. This one-year program (with an additional 2 – 4 months for thesis/project/internship) is designed for graduates from disciplines such as Applied Statistics, Statistics, CSE, EEE, Mathematics, or other related fields. Applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 3.50 in their Bachelor’s degree, a minimum GPA of 3.50 in both SSC and HSC (combined GPA ≥ 8.0), and must have completed their Bachelor’s degree in or after the 2022–2023 session. Those holding foreign degrees must contact ISRT before applying. A strong background in statistical concepts and methods is required.
The admission test will consist of an 80-mark written exam and a 20-mark viva voce. Applications will be accepted from July 7 to July 22, 2025, and the written admission test will be held on July 27, 2025. Classes are scheduled to begin on August 17, 2025.
