Bengali literature Translator Prof. Dong Youchen visited Confucius Institute at University of Dhaka孟加拉语文学翻译家董友忱教授访问达卡大学孔子学院
On February 20, 2025, Professor Dong Youchen, the famous Bengali literature Scholar and translator, was invited to visit Confucius Institute at University of Dhaka.
During the event, Prof. Dong shared how Rabindranath Tagore and his literary works have profoundly influenced his academic accomplishments and values. He emphasized that learning language is key to understand other cultures. Prof. Dong also shared his experiences in teaching Chinese language to Bangladeshi students in China.
This exchange not only deepened the CI teachers' understanding of Tagore’s literature but also inspired them to incorporate more cultural elements into their Chinese language teaching, further promoting cultural exchange and mutual learning between China and Bangladesh.
2025年2月20日，著名孟加拉语文学翻译家董友忱教授应邀访问达卡大学孔子学院。董教授是国际孟加拉学研究会会长、当代孟加拉语文学专家及翻译家，在国际学术界享有盛誉，曾发表百余篇论文，并主编《泰戈尔作品全集》，为中孟文化交流作出了重要贡献。
在交流活动中，董教授与孔子学院的教师们分享了泰戈尔及其文学作品对其学术成就和人生观、价值观的深刻影响，并多次强调，学习原作语言是理解其文化的关键。此外，董教授还回忆了自己曾教授孟加拉国学生学习中文的经历，讨论了教学过程中学生们容易出现的偏误，并分享了教学经验和方法。
此次交流活动不仅深化了孔子学院教师们对泰戈尔文学的理解，还启发了大家如何在中文教学中融入更多文化元素，进一步促进了中孟文化的交流互鉴与传播。
