Challenges in gender sensitivity and gender equality are leading the obstacles posing a hindrance to Bangladesh’s overall forward march , and consequently, her people are lagging behind in the race of development and reaching developmental goals. Considering the grounds, the Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnessa Mujib Centre has been established to accomplish the dreams of Bangamata, who had been the source of inspiration to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The Center aims to contribute towards a gender-equal and fair society through empirical research, training, advocacies, workshops, and seminars. We also stress aspects, such as the involvement of women in gender and transgender development, and policy studies, among others.

Further, we aspire to devise networks with relevant institutions and organizations, academicians, gender activists, students, and policymakers both at the local and international levels for a smooth coordination in executing the plans and applying the earned knowledge for the betterment of the society, as well as, the country.

It is anticipated, that all such initiatives will create a gender-sensitive wider group across the country, remove their mental barriers, and will empower them through the noble activities of this Center.
