Admission Requirements
Admission in MPhil and PhD Programmes at the Faculty of Law take place once a year as per the university rules. Candidates with excellent academic records and research/teaching experience get preference in the admission to the research programmes offered by the Faculty. Students graduated from private universities must enroll into the MPhil programme first in order to be admitted into the PhD programme as per the University Rules.
Duration of the Programme
PhD: The validity of PhD registration is maximum five years. The researcher can submit the thesis after four years. Also, the thesis may be submitted after three years upon due approval from respective Supervisors as well as the Academic Council. Academic Committee may assign some coursework to a PhD researcher. The faculty offers part time candidature opportunity for working PhD researchers upon due approval from their respective employers.
