Recognition Ceremony Held for Successful Organization of River Cruise to Chandpur
The Department of Political Science, University of Dhaka, formally recognized the organizers of the recent River Cruise to Chandpur by awarding them certificates and a crest of appreciation. The ceremony was held today at the department premises.
Professor Dr. Nasima Khatun, Honorable Chairperson of the Department, handed over the tokens of appreciation to the organizing team. In her remarks, Dr. Khatun expressed sincere gratitude to the students for their outstanding efforts in coordinating such a vibrant and successful event. She also shared with the audience that the Honorable Vice Chancellor of the University of Dhaka, Professor Niaz Ahmed Khan, PhD, extended his appreciation to the department and the student body for arranging such a well-organized and joyful excursion.
Md. Omar Shafi Rafsan, the Organizing Team Coordinator, extended heartfelt thanks to Professor Dr. Nasima Khatun for her unwavering support and encouragement throughout the planning and execution of the program.
The River Cruise to Chandpur, held on February 10, 2025, brought together over 500 participants—including current students, alumni, and faculty—making it a memorable day of camaraderie, cultural celebration, and institutional pride. Today’s recognition ceremony not only acknowledged the hard work of the organizers but also reinforced the Department’s commitment to fostering leadership, collaboration, and student engagement.
