CSEDU Annual Picnic 2026 at Suvarnagrama Amusement Park & Resort
On 18 April, 2026: The CSEDU Annual Picnic 2026 was a joyful and memorable occasion for the students of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Dhaka. The event was greatly supported by the development fund of the department and its activities were coordinated by the Students of 2022–23 session, B.Sc. 29 Batch, LUBDHOK. It was held on 18 April 2026 at Suvarnagrama Amusement Park & Resorts, Dhaka Sylhet Highway, Bhulta, Narayanganj.
The picnic created a wonderful opportunity for everyone to step away from the regular pressure of academic life and spend a cheerful day together in an enjoyable environment. It was not only a recreational outing, but also a celebration of unity, friendship, and shared memories within the CSEDU family.
The event was attended by respected faculty members, alumni, officers, students from PMAIDE and PMICS program, along with regular master’s and undergrad students. One of the unique aspects of the picnic was the participation of the 32nd batch, who had newly joined and started their classes just a week ago, on 12.04.26. Their presence added a fresh and exciting spirit to the event, and they enjoyed the whole picnic along with the rest of the department.
Activities
A variety of exciting rides and enjoyable arrangements made the picnic lively and entertaining for everyone.
Participants enjoyed several popular rides and attractions, including the Speed Boat, Pirate Ship, Bumper Car, Tilt Over, and Tower Challenger. These rides added thrill, fun, and excitement to the entire event. Additionally, more than 100 participants enthusiastically took part in swimming, making it one of the most refreshing and lively highlights of the day.
Different games and interactive group activities, including football, also made the day more enjoyable. These arrangements encouraged participation, cooperation, and friendly bonding among students of different batches and programs.
The picnic also included photography sessions, where participants captured memorable moments with friends, classmates, teachers, and fellow attendees. These photographs will remain as beautiful reminders of a joyful departmental gathering.
Another major attraction of the program was the raffle draw with 29 prizes, which created suspense, enthusiasm, and extra excitement among the participants. It added a special festive feeling to the overall event and made the day even more memorable.
Event Description
The day began with great enthusiasm as participants gathered at the CSEDU premises for the journey to the picnic spot. With cheerful hearts and excitement in their minds, students, teachers, officers, and other attendees began the trip to Suvarnagrama Amusement Park & Resorts at 8.45am by 5 large buses and one coaster.
After arriving at the venue within an hour, everyone was welcomed by a lively and refreshing atmosphere. The beautiful surroundings of the amusement park immediately created a sense of joy and energy among the participants.
At the beginning of the program, many participants spent time taking photographs with friends, classmates, respected teachers, and students from different batches. These moments marked the opening of a day filled with fun and togetherness.
After that, participants explored the different rides and attractions available in the park. Many enjoyed the Speed Boat, while others took part in exciting rides such as the Pirate Ship, Bumper Car, Tilt Over, and Tower Challenger. These attractions added adventure and enjoyment to the picnic and kept the participants engaged throughout the day. Swimming activities also drew a large crowd, offering a relaxing break from the rides and adding to the overall enjoyment of the event.
Later, everyone gathered for lunch, where they enjoyed food together in a relaxed and pleasant environment. The shared meal created another warm moment of bonding among all attendees.
The event then moved forward with more engaging activities, making the day even more vibrant and enjoyable. Afterwards, the eagerly awaited raffle draw took place. This part of the program created great excitement among the participants and became one of the most enjoyable highlights of the day.
As the picnic gradually came to an end, everyone prepared for the return journey around 7pm with happy hearts and unforgettable memories. From the senior batches to the newly joined 32nd batch, all participants enjoyed the event wholeheartedly.
